Each fall the Emory Global Health Institute hosts its annual Global Health Scholars Symposium. This symposium features Emory students who were awarded EGHI Field Scholars Awards and who conducted global health projects the previous summer. The Individual Field Scholars and each Multidisciplinary Team Field Scholars prepare and display academic posters that summarize their field scholar projects.
The Global Health Scholars Symposium typically coincides with EGHI’s annual Advisory Board meeting, which allows EGHI Advisory Board members to view the posters, meet the students, and discuss their experiences of working on a global health project. The event also coincides with the awards ceremony for EGHI's annual Global Health Student Photography Contest.
The date for the 2016 symposium and the Global Health Student Photography Contest Awards Ceremony will be Thursday, October 27 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the Klamon Room of the Claudia Nance Rollins Building.
