Working Across Cultures Workshop

The Institute's Working Across Cultures Workshop provides students and others from the Emory Community with vital information that will aid them as they embark on a global health project or career in the field. Workshop topics include health and security, cultural sensitivity issues, and emergency procedures that individuals should be familiar with when working abroad. The Institute requires incoming Global Health Institute Field Scholars to attend a Working Across Cultures Workshop every spring prior to their global field experiences the following summer. Students participating in non-Institute-funded global field experiences and anyone from the Emory Community who has an interest in working globally are also encouraged to participate.
