Global Environmental Health Partnership with the University of Copenhagen

Emory's Rollins School of Public Health has established a long-term research and training relationship with Dr. Flemming Konradsen and his colleagues at the University of Copenhagen and at a network of satellite research campuses in India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Ghana. This relationship:

  • Builds research collaborations between Dr. Konradsen and his collagues and faculty and the Rollins School of Public Health and the Environmental Studies Department at Emory College;
  • Facilitates expansion of the Global Environmental Health (GEH) training program providing mentored research opportunities abroad;
  • Enriches the teaching curriculum in Global Environmental Health by adding a mini-course to be taught by Dr. Konradsen that will address management of GEH research studies in constraint conditions;
  • Develops an exchange program between the University of Copenhagen and Emory University that will offer students at both institutions the opportunity to take a semester of coursework at the sister institution; and
  • Provides the Emory Global Health Institute with access to Dr. Konradsen's expertise in developing global health partnerships.
