Archive of Global Disease Eradication

The Robert W. Woodruff Library and the Rollins School of Public Health are colloborating with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to create an archive of successful public health disease eradication programs. The archive currently focuses on archiving the CDC's successful smallpox eradication efforts in West and Central Africa, but information on eradication efforts in Asia and other areas will be included as the site expands. The multimedia archive includes oral histories taken from CDC staff members who played significant roles in the agency's smallpox eradication efforts as well as other documentation of the successful smallpox eradication program. The archive can be found at http://gde.emory.edu/smallpox.
