War and Health Conference

Emory University, in collaboration with Emergency USA, is coordinating this student-initiated conference. The War and Health Conference will enable attendess to explore the various facets of public health in light of violent conflict. They will learn from leading professionals in the field, who will provide them with a unique opportunity to understand and address the myriad of conflict and post-conflict health problems and begin to conceptualize methods of rehabilitation. This conference promises to strengthen global health, international conflict, and human rights groups from across Emory University by serving as a educational tool, fostering communication networks, and realizing common interests and goals. The Emory Global Health Institute is a co-sponsor of this event. The conference will take place in Emory University's White Hall from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on February 21, 2009.
