Events The Global HIV/AIDS Pandemic at Age 26: Is There Finally A Global Response? Michael H. Merson, MD, gave this presentation on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Emory's Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Merson is Director of the Duke Global Health Institute and Professor of Medicine, Community and Family Medicine, and Public Policy at Duke University. He is an internationally recognized expert in the study of HIV/AIDS. Prior to leading Duke's Global Health Institute, Dr. Merson was the Anna M.R. Lauder Professor of Public Health at Yale University, Director of the Yale Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS, and Principal Investigator of Yale's AIDS International Training and Research Program based in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Emory Global Health Institute, the Hubert Department of Global Health, and the Emory Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) co-sponsored Dr. Merson's presentation.
