Global Development and Health Symposium

The Emory Global Health Institute is co-sponsoring with the Goizueta Business School a Global Development and Health Symposium. The symposium will focus on the power of business and health to reduce poverty through sustainable development. The keynote speaker is John McArthur, CEO of Millennium Promise, the US' only international non-profit organization soley committed to achieving the Millennium Development Goal of cutting poverty in half by 2015. Other speakers will include: Bruce McNamer, President and CEO of TechnoServe; Steve Sencer, Deputy General Counsel of Emory University; Afzaal Malik, Director of Stakeholder Relations at The Coca-Cola Company; and Dr. Jeffrey Koplan, Director of the Institute and Vice President for Global Health at Emory University.

The symposium will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the Boynton Auditorium (Room 130) of the Goizueta Business School. For more information about the symposium and registration, please click here.
