Senior Fellows
Steven Sencer, JD
Mr. Sencer is Deputy General Counsel at Emory University. He specializes in technology transfer, licensing of intellectual property, scientific research, and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Emory, Mr. Sencer practiced as an attorney with the law firms of King & Spalding in Atlanta and Williams & Connolly in Washington D.C. He also spent two years as a state prosecutor in Dekalb County, Georgia. After law school, Mr. Sencer was a clerk for Judge Amalya Kearse of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York City. Mr. Sencer has served as an adjunct professor at the Emory School of Law.
Mr. Sencer helps advance the Institute's Republic of South Africa Drug Discovery Training Program, which brings scientists from South Africa to Emory for advanced training in a variety of drug discovery fields.
