Internal Advisory Committee
The Internal Advisory Committee of the Emory Global Health Institute is comprised of Emory University deans or their designees and selected faculty members. The University’s deans are permanent members of the committee, and selected faculty members serve two-year, renewable terms. The responsibilities of the Internal Advisory Committee include:
- Informing the Emory Global Health Institute’s priority setting process,
- Advising and recommending major investments in global health activities across Emory University,
- Working with Emory Global Health Institute leadership to create, prioritize, and recommend new faculty lines,
- Serving as advocates and representatives,
- Assisting with institutional development,
- Tracking and reviewing progress, and
- Fostering cross-school/unit cooperation as well as prioritizing and facilitating the resolution of barriers.
