Goals and Activities
Our Goals
The primary goals of the Emory Global Health Institute are to:
- Develop a strong academic infrastructure in global health at Emory University,
- Develop and nurture global health partnerships, and
- Foster global health research and scholarship.
How We Work
To meet these goals, the Emory Global Health Institute engages in the following activities.
- Identifies high-priority opportunities for strategically aligned faculty growth, and supports the University’s hiring of world-class scholars engaged in global health work;
- Provides direction and support to Emory faculty and their local and global partners to conduct innovative, high impact global health research studies and programs;
- Convenes seminars and conferences to share information on effective global health initiatives and to develop global health leaders and partners;
- Provides global health training opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, and supports the expansion of global health curricula across the University; and
- Brings global health experts to Emory to share their knowledge and expertise with the Emory community.
